Why We Chose Foster Care

Fostering is one of the most meaningful choices we have ever made. For us, it is about more than simply providing a home. It is about giving children who have experienced hardship a chance at stability, love, and a brighter future. Studies show that children often regress by an entire year with every change in placement. That is why we are so passionate about ensuring that when a child is placed with us, we do everything in our power to make that placement work. The first placement is the best placement and we want to be their only placement unless they reunite with family, because stability matters more than anything. Whether the child stays with us through adoption or returns to their family, they will always remain a part of our lives and an honorary member of our family.

We have learned that when you refuse to give up on a child, the transformation can be incredible.
