Family Based Mental Health

What We Do

Family Based Mental Health Services is an intensive and comprehensive team-delivered service rendered in the home and community. The long-range goal is to reduce the need for psychiatric hospitalization or out-of-home placement. We strive to complete services within 6-8 months, although the time may be briefer or longer dependent on need.

 

Treatment is designed to empower families!

 

The intent of our services are to strengthen and stabilize the family unit, increase life management and coping skills, develop strategies to enhance parenting skills, enhance positive communication skills, and prevent out-of-home placement or to reunify family members. 

Our Model
Four Components

Family Based Services at Family Pathways utilizes the EcoSystemic Family Therapy style by working with the strength and needs of the family. 

The Four Componets of Our Treatment Model are:

  • Mental Health Treatment

  • Case Management

  • Family Support Services

  • Crisis Intervention

The Intent of Family Based Services

Family Based Mental Health Services intent is:

  • To strengthen and stabilize the family unit

  • To prevent out-of-home placement or to reunify family members

Who is Eligible?

Treatment services are available for:

  • Children up to the age of 21 with a mental health diagnosis who are at risk of out-of home placement

  • Children who have a referral from a physician or licensed psychiatrist
